Zubaida Bai is a mechanical engineer turned social entrepreneur with a deep passion for improving the lives of underprivileged women. She founded ayzh in 2010 while earning her MBA in Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise from Colorado State University. Today, she is a recognized leader in the field of “appropriate technology” for the developing world, with a rare combination of expertise at the intersection of engineering, global women’s health and business, and has won numerous awards. Her company, ayzh(pronounced “eyes”) provides health and livelihood solutions to impoverished women worldwide through the development and distribution of low-cost, appropriate technology designed to meet the unique needs of women in resource-poor settings.
