Bijal Shah is the founder and CEO of lallitara. lallitara is an apparel and accessories brand that aims to fuel social change through fashion.
Previously, Bijal worked at IDEO, a design and innovation consulting firm. Her role as a Business Designer allowed her to blend her strategic and creative interests. Prior to IDEO, Bijal worked at Visa, Inc., the largest payment network in the world. She was a key member of the Global Corporate Strategy team, which helped Visa reposition post IPO by implementing an organizational restructuring and re-pricing. In addition, Bijal worked at ZS Associates a leading player in using data analytics to solve marketing and sales challenges. While at ZS, Bijal managed a number of initiatives for one of the largest players in the California pharmaceutical industry.
Bijal is also a former American India Foundation - Clinton Fellow. As a fellow, Bijal had the opportunity to live and work in India at Saath, a non-governmental organization that aims to provide holistic services to slum dwellers. While in India, Bijal worked on various projects that allowed her to create and implement plans to make Saath a self-sustaining enterprise.
Bijal has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
