Alex Shih leads mobile partner products and programs at Twitter, with a specific focus on emerging markets. Among the portfolio of partner programs, he runs the Twitter Access Program, partnering with mobile operators to waive data charges to access Twitter. He also drives new initiatives with partners to deliver meaningful and valuable experiences that reach every person on the planet.
Prior to Twitter, Alex was a strategic partner development manager at Google, where he helped launch and grow the partner program for Google Apps. He has spent time in various emerging markets, currently for Twitter as well as in the past, ranging from co-founding a startup called Global Cycle Solutions in Tanzania to piloting a Hindi literacy application in India to teaching programming and entrepreneurship in Israel.
